CONFERENCE AGENDA | CONFERENCE FACULTY The University of Maryland School of Social Work in collaboration with the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute is presenting a day-long conference focused on cutting edge issues in the field of adoption today. Join us for the day with Dean Richard P. Barth and a distinguished group of researchers who will present and discuss a variety of important topics including a keynote address by Dr. Ruth G. McRoy speaking on “Barriers to Adoptions from Foster Care." Other key topics to be presented are: “Life After Adoption: Post-Adoption Needs and Services”; “Public Child Welfare and International Adoption: Issues and Considerations”; “Complex Issues in Adoptive Families: Gay and Lesbian Families and Adoptive Kinship Networks” and “Preparing Adoptive Families to Manage the Mental Health and Developmental Needs of Their Children."
