Professor Geoffrey Greif Discusses Male
Friendships on CNN
Have you heard the term "Bromance" yet? If not, you soon will with movies and media stories on male friendships just about everywhere you look.
School of Social Work Professor Geoffrey Greif, DSW has been quoted on CNN and in dozens of newspaper articles, including The New York Times, radio interviews, and much more to discuss his new book, Buddy System: Understanding Male Friendships. Greif's research explores the types of male friendships, why they are important, and how such friendships lead to happier and healthier lives.
Dr. Greif would like to thank the 39 alumni who are individually acknowledged in the book for helping with the research.
Hear Greif talk about “Men and their Male Friendships” at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 3 at the home of alumna Judith Temple, ’84 in Columbia, MD. To RSVP or find out more information, please contact sperez@ssw.umaryland.edu.
