DECEMBER GRADUATES HONORED
Graduating in the middle of the academic year can feel a little odd. There is no formal cap and gown ceremony, no pomp and circumstance, and no graduation speakers.
The School of Social Work invites all its December graduates to take part in the May ceremony but the School also holds a reception for its December MSW graduates.
This year, the School had over two dozen MSW students graduate. There have been two PhD students who have successfully defended their dissertations so far this academic year and have also been invited to take part in the May ceremony.
One of the School's December MSW graduates, Amy Shutt, is shown here being congratulated by School of Social Work Dean Richard Barth.
