Baltimore Grand Elevator Modernization

Currently in progress, one elevator on the Paca St. side and one on the Fayette St. side of the Baltimore Grand Garage will be shut down. Each side of the garage will have one elevator in operation. When modernization is complete on the first two elevators, the remaining elevators will be taken out of service. The duration of this project is approximately 65 weeks. Garage levels 2 and 10 will have materials storage areas installed. Please use caution and watch for pedestrians/workers when driving in those areas.

Signs will be posted on all levels of the garage. Stairwells will be accessible at all levels. NEW: A campus card reader has been installed at the door on the Fayette St. side to allow access to the elevator lobby. Those parking should consider use of this location to reduce congestion on the Paca St. side.

In the event of an elevator malfunction, please call the elevator shop at 410.706.3324. Mr. David Guerin is the Manager. You may also contact Mr. Brian Simmons in the parking office at 410.706.1215. In the event of an emergency, please call campus police at 410.706.6882, or dial 711 from a campus phone. Please alert co-workers, students, patients, and guests as soon as possible. Progress updates will be made available to you throughout the project period.
