Student groups include the Alliance for Workforce Development and Empowerment (AWDE), Christian Social Work Fellowship (CSWF), Coalition for Military Awareness (CMA), International Social Work Organization (ISWO), Latin American Solidarity Organization (LASO), Lesbian Gay Bi-Sexual Transgender Queer Allies Union (LGBTQAU), Organization of African-American Students in Social Work (OASIS), Student Coalition for Peace and Equality (SCOPE), and the TIKKUN-Jewish Social Work Organization.

Student representative spots are also open on many of our committees which include the Admissions Committee, Clinical Concentration Committee, Educational Resources and Informatics (Technology) Committee, Field Education Committee, Management and Community Organizing Committee, Master's Program Committee, Student Grievance Committee, and the Student Review Committee. Additionally, there are three remaining spots for representatives from the School of Social Work to serve as Senators in the University-wide SGA (USGA).
