Ron Taffel, PhD will present a powerful new framework for dealing with today’s children and teens for whom precocity, scattered focus, high-risk behavior and acting out, lack of adult guidance, and intense stress increasingly come with the territory. Ron Taffel’s addresses the key challenges of building adult-child relationships that are strong enough to promote real behavioral and emotional change. Provided is an overarching framework and practical, concrete techniques. Among other areas the workshop will include giving advice that children of all ages listen to, getting teens to tell the truth about their lives, handling confidentiality dilemmas, engaging formidable or hard-to-reach mothers and fathers, helping parents reestablish their authority, empowering kids to deal with peers and social cruelty, while challenging children and teens to develop healthy passions and compassion.
