Tina Abrefa-Gyan, background: MSW in International Social and Economic Development of Women, children, youth and families, a Ghanaian National; Research interests: Poverty alleviation through agri-business for women and health issues.

Shauna Acquavita, background: tobacco cessation counseling, psychiatric social work, mental health and substance abuse care manager; research interests: tobacco, mental health, drug and alcohol.

Margaret Beal

Rena Bina, background: clinical, rehabilitational, and administrative work with the emotionally disturbed in the ultraorthodox Jewish community, director of mental health department in a nonprofit organization in Israel; research interests: religion and mental health, rehabilitation and the emotionally disturbed.

Karen Castellanos, background: research assistant, assistant counselor, therapist intern; research interests: children and families, women’s issues.

Jayme Delano

Sunday Fakunmoju, background: Child maltreatment/CPS investigations, psychiatric social work, alcohol and substance abuse counseling, clinical practice with youth in foster care and group homes, clinical practice with individuals and adults; Research interests: Child maltreatment/child protective services; child welfare, mental health services, prevention, and intervention; alcohol and substance abuse.

Maya Gibbons, background: director, counseling center at Johnson C. Smith University, clinical social work, health social work, psychiatric social work; research interests: resiliency in trauma survivors, survivors of sexual assault, HIV/AIDS prevention education.

Anna Hayward, background: program development and administration, research with women who are dually diagnosed, in home services with therapeutic foster children, foster parent training; research interests: preventive services for families; role of fathers and extended family in child welfare/family services.

Michin Hong, background: social work administration, program development and evaluation, community based aging policy; Research interest: minority aging, immigration and cultural adjustment, long term care.

Anne Hughes, background: clinical work with adults, HIV/AIDS, EAP, private practice, gerontology. Research interests: health care decision making in the elderly, psychosocial impact of chronic illness, gerontology, HIV medication adherence.

Jeongha Hwang, background: program management and evaluation, and social policy; Research interests: human service management, service effectiveness, social service delivery system, quantitative methods.

Andrea Jones, background: Clinical - Aging Services, Mental Health, Hospice, Administrative - Community & Program Development, Geriatric Case Management; Research interests:  Design & Development of Aging Programs, Community Development.

Hae Jung Kim, background: case manager in community welfare center, community practice, social work administration, program planning and evaluation; Research interests: nonprofit management, community organizing, leadership in social work, organizational performance, social workers’ retention, social workers’ occupational health.

Ann LeFevre

Melissa Lim Brodowski, background: substance abuse counseling, county child welfare, program specialist with the federal government; Research interests:  child maltreatment prevention, implementation and evidence-based practices, economic evaluation, program evaluation.

Fatima Mirza, background: multicultural counseling, individual and group work with survivors of trauma, youth work, grief/crisis management in the Muslim community; research interests: trauma and family dynamics; minority identity; qualitative methods in research.
