--  Parking is available for students at the Lexington Garage located at 660 W. Lexington Street  (at the corner of Pine and Lexington Streets)

--  8:30- 9:00 AM - Check-In Registration for Orientation will occur in the SMC Campus Center.

--  9:00 AM – 2:00 PM - Morning and Afternoon Sessions are scheduled in the Campus Center and will cover the following:

-- Sponsorship of Formal Program/Orientation Speakers

-- Sponsorship of Mandatory Academic-Oriented Lectures for students: A) “Writing Skills Instruction/APA Lecture; B) Instructional Technology Services/ Blackboard Lecture

--  Issuance of Parking Permits [students can opt to purchase permits online--see parking link below]

--  Issuance of UM One Card to new students [You must have an ID to access campus buildings]

--  11:00 AM -12:00 PM Lunch provided by the SSW Student Government Association

--  2:00 – 3:30 PM UM Campus Resource Fair on 2nd Level of SMC Campus Center

--  2:30 PM- Sponsorship of Campus Tours by SGA.

The e-mail message will inform new students how to establish their GAE account on-line (via the UMB Account Management Site, which manages your UMID and password). The UMID and password is the Baltimore campus-wide authentication system that allows students to access their email account, Blackboard, SURFS, eduroam wireless networks, databases, electronic services, HS/HSL resources, etc.
