Lily Scheindlin is a research assistant and project coordinator for Dr. Jennifer Swanberg at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and School of Medicine, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Clark University, she began working with Dr. Swanberg on multiple research projects investigating interactions between work, family and health. As a project coordinator on the Working Women Photo Project, she is currently assisting with research that is looking at the meaning of work in women’s lives through a qualitative and photographic lens. Additionally, the EMPOWER Project examines the relationship between employment conditions and treatment decisions and outcomes among working breast cancer survivors. She is also the project coordinator for the Work, Family and Well-Being Research Group.
