The School of Social Work Continues to Produce Graduates Who Exceed National Passing Averages for Board Exams

The Association of Social Work Boards has released their annual list of pass rates for students and graduates who have taken licensing exams and the numbers for the University of Maryland School of Social Work (SSW) continue to exceed national averages.

In 2016, 88% of SSW students who were first-time takers of the Masters Exam passed.  The national average was 81%

In 2016, 73% of SSW graduates who took the Advanced Generalist Exam passed. The national average was 57%

In 2016, 80% of SSW graduates who took the Clinical Exam passed. The national average was 78%

The School is very proud of our students who, for many years in a row now, continue to pass these important exams at a rate well above national averages.  It is a credit to the quality of students we have and the exceptional faculty members who work hard every day to help produce what we consider the best social workers in the nation.
