A fee waiver is a tool the University of Maryland School of Social Work uses to recruit members and alumni of:
1) Americorps, 2) Peace Corps, 3) McNair/TRIO ,4) Fulbright, and 5) Veterans/Active Military.
If awarded, fee waivers allow you to submit your application without submiting any payment. Fee waivers must be approved by submitting proper documentation (see below) for the application type you are submitting. If a fee waiver is denied, you will be notified and payment in the form of credit card, check, or money order will be required to submit your application.
Prospective applicants must provide the following information to the admissions office:
-- Your legal name, address, phone number(s), email address, and any other pertinent contact information.
-- Include a copy of your acceptance letter into Americorps, Peace Corps, McNair/TRIO, Fulbright, or Veterans/Active Military. (Veterans need to submit a copy of their DD214 form while active duty members need to provide written proof of their current service).
Submit proper documentation to your Admissions Counselor via email based on the first letter of your last name (see below). Invitation letters will NOT be accepted as proper documentation.
