Fee Waiver Information

What is the program and how does it work?
A fee waiver is a tool the University of Maryland School of Social Work uses to recruit members and alumni of 1) Americorps, 2) Peace Corps, 3) McNair Scholars and 4) Veterans/Active Military. If awarded, fee waivers allow you to submit your application without submiting any payment. Fee waivers must be approved by submitting proper documentation (see below) for the application type you are submitting.  If a fee waiver is denied, you will be notified and payment in the form of credit card, check, or money order will be required to submit your application.

What do I need to submit to receive these benefits?
Prospective applicants must provide the following information to the admissions office:
-- Your name, address, phone number(s), email address, and any other pertinent contact information.
-- Include a copy of your acceptance letter into Americorps, McNair, or Peace Corps. (Veterans need to submit a copy of their DD214 form while active duty members need to provide written proof of their current service).

Submit all documentation on your online application.
