In 2018, the School of Social Work was awarded a supplemental grant from the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) to expand the Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service and Education (BHWISE) Lifespan Program to include training in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) that provide treatment for substance use disorders, including MAT, (medication assisted treatment).  The BHWISE MAT program trained fourteen (14) advanced-year MSW students for the 2018-2020 academic years, providing behavioral health services to clients receiving MAT as part of primary care services in three Baltimore FQHCs.
