The School of Social Work has been awarded a supplemental grant from the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) to expand the Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service and Education (BHWISE) Program to include training in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) that provide treatment for substance use disorders, including MAT, (medication assisted treatment).  The BHWISE MAT program will recruit and train nine advanced-year MSW students for the 2019-2020 academic year, to provide behavioral health services to clients receiving MAT as part of primary care services in FQHCs. BHWISE Fellows will be supported in their advanced practicum through a stipend of $10,000 per student.
