Serves as a Family Reunification program manager for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington. In this role, Cendejas supervises three full-time case managers who serve unaccompanied children primarily originating from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Also serves as a field instructor for MSW and BSW students (VCU, George Mason University, Capella, and Columbia); and as an adjunct field liaison for students in the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work online MSW program. In addition to serving as a Governing Body member, he was on the Human Services Policy Committee and Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; the Human Development & Education Policy Committee (appointed chair for 2019-20), and the Legislative Committee of the Virginia Municipal League; an Alternate Commissioner for the Potomac & Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) and the Virginia Railway Expressway (VRE); and an Advisory Board Member for Mason and Partners Clinic.
