Request Help By Phone

For quick access to help call the university helpdesk at 410-706-HELP.

--  Helpdesk Weekdays Office Hours

Monday - Friday the IT Help Desk is available to assist users via phone, email, fax, or walk-in visit from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm.

After Hours Support

On Saturday- Sundays the IT Help Desk is available to assist users via phone and email from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. 


CITS will be staffing a limited second shift support for critical systems (Monday to Friday 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm).  Users can report critical problems by leaving a voice mail message at 410-706-HELP or sending an email to
help@umaryland.edu.  Support staff will check the voice mail messages and notify appropriate staff members.  They will also follow-up with the caller to confirm that the message was received and recorded.

You can also access the helpdesk by emailing help@umaryland.edu. Faculty can e-mail ideateam@ssw.umaryland.edu for non-critical Blackboard help during office hours.

Any time there are issues or best practices to be shared emails are sent out to all faculty (ensure that you are on the ALL FACULTY list by checking with Dave Pitts at dpitts@umaryland.edu).
