Office of Student Affairs
The mission of the Office of Student Affairs is to promote students' academic success by assisting students in meeting the many demands of their academic and personal lives, and promoting a positive school experience.
The office provides guidance, advice and administrative assistance to students enrolled in the School of Social Work. This includes providing and clarifying information about school policies and procedures, assisting students in distress, serving as a liaison to students registered with the Office of Educational Support and Disability Services, as well as other accommodation needs, and providing resources and referrals to promote academic success. The Office of Student Affairs attends to students’ essential, non-academic concerns as they relate to the academic “life cycle”; starting upon matriculation, through retention and subsequent graduation of MSW students. Ensuring that matriculated MSW students have a positive school experience is a goal of the office.
The Interim Associate Dean for Student Affairs also provides general direction and leadership to the Office of Records and Registration, Academic Advising and the Office of Student Services.
