The Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service and Education, (BHWISE) ADVANCE/AVANCE MARYLAND Fellowship is a new fellowship opportunity in partnership with the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) Department of Psychology and will recruit and train 14 UMBC psychology students and 10 advanced year UMSSW students from 2023-2025 to provide integrated, culturally and linguistically competent behavioral health services for children, youth and young adults in underserved and/or rural communities.

UMBC in partnership with UMSSW was awarded a competitive grant for the BHWISE ADVANCE/AVANCE MARYLAND program for years 2023-2025.  Based on receipt of this award, we will recruit 5 MSW students per year for the advanced year fellowship in behavioral health.  Please check our "Apply" tab frequently for updates on information sessions and deadlines.

BHWISE ADVANCE/AVANCE MARYLAND fellows are supported in their advanced practicum year with a stipend of ($15,000 per student.)
