Sarah Eliasson

Sarah EliassonThroughout my career as a clinical social worker, I have remained passionate about improving outcomes for individuals diagnosed with behavioral health disorders and supporting the families who care for them. My experience working within an inpatient Thought Disorders Unit, a partial hospital program for Thought Disorders, an inpatient hospice unit, and now with the Maryland Department of Health has strengthened my commitment to advocating for meaningful systemic change in behavioral health care. I aspire to work through organizations such as National Alliance on Mental Illness to expand resources, services, supports, and policy reform at both the state and federal levels. My greatest professional passions are supporting individuals experiencing first episode psychosis and also treatment-resistant thought disorders through interdisciplinary care, while also mentoring and developing the next generation of social workers entering the profession because the future of social work depends on investing in the next generation of clinicians and advocates.
