Stacey B. Stephens, MSW, LCSW-C, a second-generation clinical social worker who is a nationally recognized leader in maternal and infant health and the Director of B’more for Healthy Babies Upton/Druid Heights at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. With more than three decades of experience as a social worker, educator, and public health practitioner, she has dedicated her career to advancing health equity and improving health outcomes for women, children, and families in Baltimore and the Washington, D.C. region. Under her leadership, the B’more for Healthy Babies Upton/Druid Heights program along with its partners successfully eliminated the racial disparity between Black and White infant deaths. Ms. Stephens also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and an Adjunct Professor at Morgan State University, where she mentors and prepares future social work and public health leaders.- Home
