Newly Admitted Students for Fall 2025 who have paid their $300 non-refundable deposit may begin online registration on June 23, 2025 12:15 PM Eastern. Online registration takes place using SURFS and log in requires using your UMID account information.

SSW Course Schedules and important dates are located here. It is strongly recommended that students register for classes as early as possible to secure a seat. You can also view all SSW courses day/times in the SURFS by clicking Class Schedule. Please be advised that the class schedule will not be final until two weeks before the start of registration.

If you are unable to obtain a seat in a desired course please submit a Waitlist Request Form.  The SSW Office of Records and Registration monitors available seats and will notify students at their @umaryland.edu email when a seat is available.  Please ensure that sswregistration@ssw.umaryland.edu is added to your trusted email list/contacts.

All students are eligible to enroll in online courses, however, only students accepted into the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) may register for courses offered at this location.
