What is BHWISE Lifespan?

The Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service and Education, (BHWISE) Fellowhipstarting in 2014 with the first of three multi-year, million-plus dollar behavioral health workforce training grants (BHWET) from the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA). The first three cohorts of BHWISE Fellows were committed to careers in behavioral health services for children, youth, and young adults. The second grant, BHWISE Lifespan program  recruited and trained 136 advanced-year MSW students from 2017-2021 to provide behavioral health services to clients of all ages who live in underserved communities.  

The BHWISE Faculty Team was awarded a competitive continuation for the BHWISE program for years 2021-2025.  Based on receipt of this award, we will recruit 30 students per year for the advanced year fellowship in behavioral health.  Please check our "How to Apply" tab frequently for updates on information sessions and deadlines. 

BHWISE Fellows are supported in their advanced practicum year with a stipend of $10,000 per student.
