Considering the growth of the Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) and Food Supplement (FS) caseloads throughout the recession, this report examines the growth in applications for these programs. Specifically, this report examines the rate of approvals among new applications as well as any changing demographic characteristics of applicant families and whether those changes are reflected in the approved caseload.
