Paying for Your Degree

The cost of higher education and advanced degrees is often a deciding factor for students. The University of Maryland School of Social Work offers scholarships, fellowships, and access to resources to help students understand the cost of graduate education and pay for their degree.

Financial Aid Process

  1. Determine your Cost of Attendance (COA): the cost to live and attend your program.
  2. Complete the FAFSA form at the start of each academic year. FAFSA forms are due each year.
  3. Review awards and disbursement schedules.

More detailed information about the Financial Aid Process can be found on the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s Office of Student Financial Assistance website.
