The Adolescent Reproductive Health for Professionals (ARH) is facilitated by our partners at Planned Parenthood of Maryland.  The 8-hour training is designed for youth providers and professionals who interact with youth ages 14-21 who are in Out-of-Home Care. Currently, the training is offered for local DSS staff affiliated with the Department of Human Services, local DJS juvenile justice staff affiliated with the Department of Juvenile Services, and foster parents who work with youth in Out-of-Home care between the ages of 14-21. The funding to support this curriculum was established through the Personal Responsibility and Education Program (PREP), led by the Baltimore City Health Department through its initiative, The Baltimore Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative for Out-of-Home Youth. The University of Maryland, School of Social Work was awarded a subcontract to support evaluation efforts for both the youth and youth provider components of the initiative. If you are interested in learning more about the Adolescent Reproductive Health for Professionals trainings, please contact our partner Vanessa Geffrard at Vanessa.geffrard@ppm.care.
