Student Financial Resources

The cost of graduate education is an important factor for many students. The University of Maryland School of Social Work offers scholarships, fellowships, and resources to help students understand costs and finance their degrees.

Our mission is to help every UMB student secure the financial resources needed to complete their education. We promote responsible financial planning and informed borrowing decisions while providing financial aid opportunities to students facing financial challenges.

The Student Emergency Fund (SEF) provides limited financial assistance to currently enrolled graduate students experiencing unexpected financial hardships. The fund helps students address urgent financial needs resulting from unforeseen circumstances.
