Dr. Christine Callahan presented on "Nuts and Bolts of Financial Capability Certifications: How Do I Decide What's Right for Me?" during the Common Cents Conference, September 17-18 in Fairfax, VA.

FSWI Steering Committee member Jeffrey Anvari-Clark, MA, LMSW, partnered with Center for Social Development colleague Lissa Johnson, MSW, LCSW, to present a talk at the School Social Work Institute on January 28-30, 2019, entitled "Integrating Financial Programming into School Systems".

2019 PUBLICATIONS

FSWI Chair and Associate Professor Dr. Jodi Frey and FSWI Steering Commitee members Drs. Paul Sacco and Christine Callahan, along with UMSSW doctoral students Martin Hoccheimer and Rachel Imboden, and Devon Hyde (alum) published a paper entitled, "The Feasibility of Brief Screening for At-Risk Gambling in Consumer Credit Counseling" in the Journal of Gambling Studies.  Contact the authors for a copy of the article.  The research team also received additional funds to do Phase 2 of this project, which is the intervention study.
