Patricia Quinn-Stabile

Patricia Quinn-Stabile earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Towson University, and a Master's degree in Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C), and is a Board Approved Social Work Supervisor. She is approved by the Board of Professional Counselors as a Supervisor and as an Alcohol and Drug Approved Supervisor. She has also been credentialed as a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist Supervisor. She has worked in a variety of positions, including providing direct services, clinical supervision, and non-profit administration. Prior to joining the SSW, she served for several decades as the program director for a substance use disorder (SUD) program that operated two clinics in Baltimore City– one clinic for adults and one clinic for adolescents. The adolescent clinic provided both school-based services as well as office-based services. The adult clinic was a SUD clinic that also had a specialty in providing services to alleged perpetrators of intimate partner violence who had SUD problems. The program was certified by the Governor’s Commission on Crime Control and Prevention-Family Violence Council as an Abuser Intervention Program related to domestic violence. The SUD clinics were state licensed for early intervention, DUI-DWI education, outpatient, and intensive outpatient services. The clinics obtained their initial national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) under her leadership. She received multiple grants from many different sources. The adult clinic was competitively selected as one of the first participants in NIDA’s Clinical Trials Network which aimed to develop and promote sustainable evidence-based practices in community-based programs. She has previously been an adjunct faculty member at Towson University where she taught adolescent psychology and human development courses. She has held leadership positions in the Baltimore City Substance Abuse Directorate and the Maryland Addiction Directors Council. She served on the Board of Directors of the local addiction authority, now known as Behavioral Health Systems Baltimore, during the time it merged the addictions/mental health oversight agencies into one organization. Additional experience in other settings includes serving as a clinical supervisor for hospital-based social workers and as a volunteer parent representative on the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Patient and Family Centered Care Advisory Council. Ms. Quinn-Stabile is a clinical instructor in the Substance Use Disorder Intervention Fellowship and will also be co-teaching a class in Tele-Behavioral Health: Delivery of Clinical Social Work Services.
